ABOUT LEAGUE OF LEGENDS #12 – PATCH RUNDOWN 10.3 – FROM A BOOSTER PERSPECTIVE

This patch is all about jungle and Akali. Almost every other change is a filler. Here’s the rundown:

Champions

  • Akali

Q – FIVE POINT STRIKE

COST 100/95/90/85/80 energy ⇒ 120/115/110/105/100 energy

W – TWILIGHT SHROUD

MOVEMENT SPEED IN SHROUD 20/25/30/35/40% movement speed ⇒ 30/35/40/45/50% decaying movement speed for 2 seconds on cast

R – PERFECT EXECUTION

R1 TARGETING Target direction ⇒ Targeted enemy champion

NEWR1 TARGET RANGE 675

R1 DASH DISTANCE 675-825 based on distance from the enemy

Energy nerf on her q is just to harsh. She cant use her third Q until her LVL 5. Also, her LVL 1 cheese is gone too. But that nerf hurts her laning more than anything. W change is a big filler in my opinion so I’m going to past that. But R nerf is pretty harsh. Her playmaking ability and mobility is almost gone with that nerf. She cant escape any ganks with that ultimate also she can’t R if she doesn’t see the enemy.R nerf doesn’t affect her laning if it’s 1v1.

But of course, she is still strong even with that nerfs. Her kit is still broken and her melee matchups are still cheese for her.

  • Aphelios

Q – CALIBRUM, THE SNIPER RIFLE

MARKED ENEMY ATTACK RANGE Infinite ⇒ 1800

This nerf doesn’t change anything.

  • Azir

BASE STATS

MANA 438 ⇒ 480

R – EMPEROR’S DIVIDE

WALL LENGTH 5/6/7 soldiers ⇒ 6/7/8 soldiers

This mana buff is a filler change but I like the +1 soldier buff since it makes Azir much easier. But those changes are not enough for Azir to be played on soloq.

  • Corki

W – SPECIAL DELIVERY

DAMAGE PER SECOND RATIO 0.375 bonus attack damage, 0.05 ability power ⇒ 0.5 bonus attack damage, 0.06 ability power

BURN DURATION 1 second ⇒ 1.5 seconds

NEW CARRIER PIGEON Now slows champions that are directly hit and knocked aside for 1.5 seconds

Damage buff is not that important but the slow buff is insanely strong in my opinion.1.5 sec slow and so easy to apply. I think without a flash, you can’t escape a gank from Corki with his package.

I think that makes Corki slightly playable on soloq but not S or A tier. Other mid champs are still destroying him in early and mid-game.

  • Diana

W – PALE CASCADE

DAMAGE PER ORB 22/34/46/58/70 ⇒ 18/30/42/54/66

Nothing important here.

  • Ekko

PASSIVE – Z-DRIVE RESONANCE

RESONANCE STACK DAMAGE 200% against monsters ⇒ 150% against monsters

That hurts jungle Ekko’s early game A LOT. Ekko was bad in the early game but now it’s even worse. He can’t match early game meta junglers like Lee and Elise due to this nerf. But still, he is crazy strong. If Ekko gets 2 items it’s still the same.

MANA GROWTH 42 ⇒ 50

ATTACK SPEED GROWTH 1.5% ⇒ 2.5%

Attack speed growth is nice but just a filler change again. It doesn’t change anything.

  • Galio

Q – WINDS OF WAR

TORNADO DURATION 1.5 seconds ⇒ 2 seconds

TORNADO DAMAGE TICKS 3 ⇒ 4

Filler change again.

  • Leona

W – ECLIPSE

DAMAGE 60/100/140/180/220 ⇒ 60/95/130/165/200

E – ZENITH BLADE

DAMAGE 60/100/140/180/220 ⇒ 50/90/130/170/210

Filler change also.

  • Miss Fortune

SHIELD 80/110/140/170/200 ⇒ 60/95/130/165/200

That one is pretty important for Rumble’s laning phase. Although 20 damage shield nerfs seems like nothing it’s pretty harsh nerf because rumble has very low cooldowns. Movement speed nerf hurts his both early and late game. Numbers are pretty harsh and hurt his mobility which is his only weakness. Still, he is playable they need to nerf him more.

  • Sejuani

BASE STATS

BONUS ATTACK SPEED 0% at level 1 ⇒ 10% at level 1

PASSIVE – FURY OF THE NORTH

FROST ARMOR REMOVAL Damage from epic monsters and enemy champions ⇒ Damage from all monsters and enemy champions

The attack speed buff is insane for her. Her early clear will be faster than ever. Armor removal does not matter because of that attack speed buff. I think she can pretty much match any early game jungle champs with that buff. She is playable if you are a tank player.

  • Senna

PASSIVE – ABSOLUTION

MIST WRAITH DROP CHANCE 20% on minions Senna doesn’t kill, 100% on cannon minions Senna kills ⇒ 25% on minions Senna doesn’t kill, 1.67% on cannon minions Senna kills

NEW MIST WRAITH DROP CHANCE (SPOILS OF WAR) Minion kills via Spoils of War (Relic Shield and Steel Shoulderguards UNIQUE) that Senna gets credit for now count as kills by Senna, reducing the drop chance to 1.67%

E – CURSE OF THE BLACK MIST

BUGFIX Allies camouflaged by Curse of the Black Mist no longer become invisible if Senna dies during the ability’s effect

Filler nerf, she is still OP.

  • Sett

BASE STATS

HEALTH REGEN 9.25 ⇒ 8

W – HAYMAKER

COOLDOWN 16/14/12/10/8 seconds ⇒ 18/16.5/15/13.5/12 seconds

BASE DAMAGE 90/125/160/195/230 ⇒ 90/120/150/180/210

Base damage doesn’t matter but cooldown nerf is harsh. W is his “go-to” skill and he needs spam it. That cooldown nerf is going to hurt him a lot in team fights.

I think he is still OP and playable but now you need to make better decisions with his W.

SELF MOVEMENT SPEED 25% (+0.04 per 100 ability power) ⇒ 20% (+0.03 per 100 ability power)

Filler change.

  • Yuumi

Q – PROWLING PROJECTILE

EMPOWERED DAMAGE 50/95/140/185/230/275 (+0.4 ability power) ⇒ 45/80/115/150/185/220 (+0.4 ability power) (+0.02-0.08 of target’s current health)

COST 85/90/95/100/105/110 mana ⇒ 90 mana at all ranks

W – YOU AND ME!

NEW Silence no longer counts as an immobilizing effect that places You and Me! on a 5 second cooldown

E – ZOOMIES

HEAL 70/110/150/190/230 (+0.3 ability power) ⇒ 70/94/118/142/166/190 (+0.4 ability power)

Filler change in my opinion.

Funnel is destroyed with that change. And secret buff for Krugs. Riot is trying to make farmers jungler great again but that’s not enough. I think meta will be the same because that buff is weak compared to the jungle nerfs we had in the last seasons.I’m glad that they finally destroyed the funnel strat with that sharp nerf.
